Animal Welfare Fellowship Facilitator

Love animals and want to help others explore how to help them most effectively? We're looking for someone to facilitate our animal welfare fellowship.

What we're about

We're a friendly bunch trying to figure out how to do the most good in the world. We host events, facilitate discussions, and build a community of people who care about making a positive impact—whether that's through their careers, donations, or just thoughtful conversations over coffee.

What you'll be doing

Your main role will be facilitating our animal welfare fellowship—guiding small groups through EA perspectives on animal welfare, leading discussions about reducing animal suffering, and helping people explore how they might make a difference for animals through their careers, advocacy, or other actions.

This fellowship dives specifically into topics like:

  • Factory farming and ways to reduce its harms

  • Wild animal welfare

  • Effective animal advocacy strategies

  • Career paths in animal welfare

  • Comparing different interventions for helping animals

If you're interested in helping with other events or projects too, there's definitely room for that, but the animal welfare fellowship is the core focus.

What we're looking for

  • Time commitment: Around 4 hours per week

  • Experience needed:

    • Strong interest in animal welfare (this is essential!)

    • Some familiarity with EA topics and frameworks (nice to have, but we care more about your passion for animals)

    • Comfortable facilitating group discussions

  • Vibe check: Enthusiastic, collaborative, and willing to help people think through how to help animals most effectively

You don't need to be an expert on every animal welfare topic—just genuinely passionate about the cause and excited to explore it with others.
